Richard Hannon loves a winner at his local track and we fancy this to continue this evening and make the unexposed 3 year old Embour a strong selection to break his duck in the 6:50 from Salisbury and should be backed at the available with BetFair.
The colt ran in one of the hottest maidens of the season at Newbury on debut, only going down half a length to the godolphin trained Gold Town who recently won a group 3 in Meydan and is rated 113. Clearly if he runs to that level of form it will take something very special to beat him.
He had niggly problems after this and was given some time off before being seen at the start of the month at Goodwood when the trainer said he would come on for the run, but ran respectably to finish just 2 1/4 lengths behind the winner Hidden Affair. He is likely to come on massively for this run and could prove very hard to beat now match fit.
There is a number of unexposed types in here and a market watch is advised with little form to go on, but it is Embour we fancy strongly to get off to winning ways and should be backed at 11/4 with BetFair.
